Madawaska—Claude Dube, 87, passed away peacefully on January 20, 2021 at a Bangor health care facility. He was born on September 27, 1933 in a small town in Canada, son of the late Will and Eva (Cyr) Dube. Claude was a deeply religious man, who cherished the word of God. Claude graduated from Madawaska High School in 1952, and shortly after was enlisted to the Army. He spent 2 years working with American Troops during the Korean War. Claude is survived by his loving wife of 23 years, Fernande (Martin) Michaud Dube. They met each other volunteering at the St. David church in 1998. He built the ramp in the basement of the church all by himself, along with offering a helping hand to anyone who needed it. During Lent, Claude would be at the church by 5am every day, to make sure the public made it inside safely. After marrying his wife Fernande, they traveled across the United States for their honeymoon. Claude was a jack of all trades, he loved wood working, basket weaving, needle point, and quilt making with his wife. Claude is survived by one adopted daughter, Claudette Levesque; two grandchildren, Scott, and Kim; four great grandchildren, Stanley, Chloe, Drew Levesque, and Darrin Didilio; three brothers, Aril, Roland, and Gilman; three sisters, Jeannine, Lorraine, Pauline; along with many nieces and nephews; One stepdaughter in law, Marcelle Michaud; one stepson, Roland Michaud Jr.; two stepdaughters, Bernette, Brenda; twelve step grandchildren; 18 step great grandchildren. Claude is predeceased by his parents Will and Eva (Cyr) Dube; his former wife, Laurraine Cyr; four brothers, Norman, Alfred, Fernand, Reynold; one sister, Donetta Parent; one nephew, Paul; one stepson, Bernard Michaud. In lieu of flowers please make donations to, St. Jude Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis TN 38105. Due to the current pandemic a funeral service will be held privately by the convenience of family. Arrangements have been entrusted to Lajoie Funeral Home.
