Van Buren--- Claudette L. Cyr, 85, passed away peacefully March 2, 2021, at Aroostook House of Comfort, Presque Isle, after a brief battle with cancer. She was born January 5, 1936 in Keegan, a daughter of the late Lawrence and Cecile (Voisine) Labbe.

In retirement Claudette enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, cooking for her family, making puzzles, feeding the birds, lunching and shopping with friends, and always looked forward to card games.

She is survived by: four children, Kurt Cyr and his wife Millie of Van Buren, Kellie Ouellette and her husband Rick, Karen Cyr and her husband Paul, all of Presque Isle, and Kim Hanusovsky and her husband John of Bristol, CT; a sister, Norma Cyr and her husband Raymond of Van Buren; daughter-in-law, Lisa Cyr of Texas; seven grandchildren, Marcus, Jenna, Vanessa, Melissa, Jessica, Jake, & Erik; two great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, Claudette was predeceased by her loving husband of 61 years, Adrian Cyr in 2016, a son, Kevin Cyr, infant son, Glenn Cyr, a grandson, Mitch Cyr, and two brothers, Roland and Fernand Labbe.

Funeral services will be held privately and at the convenience of Claudette's family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Mitch Cyr Scholarship Fund, c/o NMCC Foundation, 33 Edgemont Drive, Presque Isle, ME 04769. Arrangements were a service of Lajoie Funeral Home, 118 High St., Van Buren.
