Fort Kent--- Claudette Ann Paradis, a devoted wife, loving mother, and grandmother, passed away peacefully on April 29, 2026, at the age of 90, surrounded by family and friends. She was born in Fort Kent, Maine, to Edgar and Carmen (Cyr) Marquis. She will be remembered for her unwavering warmth, generosity, and nurturing spirit. She dedicated her life to her family, always offering a listening ear and a warm heart.

Claudette was known for her immense strength and quiet faith, and overcame adversity with grace, serving as an inspiration to her children.

She leaves behind a legacy of love, faith, and family, including her children, Michael and partner, Lisa Blanchard, Daniel and wife, Bernadette, Donna & husband, Scott, Paul James and wife, Susan, and Son-in-Law Bert Roy. She enjoyed spending time with grandchildren Nicole Cyr, Nathan Cyr and wife, Amelia, Megan and husband, Parker Madden, Jonathan Paradis & wife Gabby, Jason Roy, Katelyn Dubois and husband, Tyler, Machayla Dube and Chelsea Paradis. Claudette had 12 great grandchildren.

Claudette has 5 siblings, Roger Marquis and wife, Marion, Jackie Kiely, Jim Marquis and wife, Linda, Louise Pelletier and husband, Roger, and sister, Carol Allen.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband of 53 years, Roger Paradis, a daughter, Kathryn Roy, her bothers Patrick and Robert Marquis, her parents Edgar and Carmen Marquis, and daughter-in-law Louise Paradis.

Claudette was known for her many talents including cooking, sewing, cross stitching, knitting, crocheting, scrapbooking, needlepoint, quilting, and even made braided wool rugs. She also treasured her time with the Nutty Ladies that got together regularly to create beautiful handmade quilts and other works from loving hands.

Claudette was committed to the development of the Special Religious Development. The SPRED program which is a Catholic faith-formation ministry that provides religious education, sacramental preparation, and community belonging for children and adults with developmental or intellectual disabilities. Claudette had a very special bond with her brother Patrick, who had Down Syndrome.

Claudette‘s family would like to take a moment to express their sincere thanks for the wonderful and professional care that she and her family experience while at Crosswinds Residential facility. The compassion, dedication and support provided by the support staff during the eight years that Claudette spent at their facilities was more than anyone could expect. Thank you for your tireless care provided to my mother, residents of this facility and our community.

Relatives and friends may greet the family 8:30 – 9:30 AM on Saturday, May 2, 2026, at Lajoie-Daigle Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10 AM at Saint Louis Church. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
