Fort Kent--- Claudette (Nadeau) Pelletier, 84, passed away peacefully on April 24, 2026. She was born March 14, 1942, in Baker Lake, NB, Canada, a daughter of the late Solomon and Albina (Tardif) Nadeau.
Claudette moved to Fort Kent at an early age where she lovingly assisted a relative’s family, where she cared for their children, preparing meals, and maintaining the home. It was during this time she met Maurice Pelletier. The two were married and built a life together, raising their two sons, John and Todd. Claudette had a deep love for children and spent many years caring for them in her home. She found great joy watching the kids grow and was a nurturing presence to many families in the community. Claudette loved not only her children but also adored her grandchildren and great granddaughter. In Memere’s eyes, her grandchildren could do no wrong.
She is survived by two sons, John and his wife Mary of Winterport and Todd of Bangor; two grandchildren, Brandon and Jenna; one great granddaughter, Hallie; two sisters, Rolande Pelletier of Cross Lake, and Jeannette Bolduc of Baker Lake, NB; and several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, Claudette was predeceased be her beloved husband of 61 years, Maurice Pelletier, who passed April 24, 2022, and a sister Claire Boucher.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 AM on Tuesday, June 16, 2026, at St. Louis Church, Fort Kent. There will be no calling hours. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Claudette’s name may be made to: Crosswinds residential Care, 40 Village Rd., Fort Kent, ME 04743. Arrangements are a service of Lajoie-Daigle Funeral Home, 14 E.
