Madawaska---Claudia (Dufour) Cyr, 93, passed away on March 15, 2017 at a Frenchville health care facility.  She was born in Green River, New Brunsick on September 10, 1923, the ninth of eighteen children, daughter of Thomas and Anna (Vaillancourt) Dufour.

Claudia loved and appreciated all the time she spent with her sisters playing cards and chatting.  Her biggest pastime was knitting and gave most of her work to her sons, their family and to many of her friends.  Claudia also loved to go shopping, not necessarily buying anything but just enjoying her time in the stores.

She is survived by two sisters, Leona Lebel and Valeda Dube and two brothers, Clarence and Patrick.  She is also survived by one son, Daniel, his wife Linda, their son Daniel, one step son Keith Saucier and one great grandchild, Natalie.   In addition, two more grandchildren, Rachel and Benjamin, of her predeceased son, Cyril.  She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
