Van Buren---Clifford L. Michaud, 87, died peacefully May 26, 2010 at a Van Buren health care facility. He was born in Van Buren on January 18, 1923, the son of Adelard and Laura (Sirois) Michaud. He was a potato grower until his retirement in 1985. He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Armande (Daigle) Michaud of Van Buren; four sons, Kenneth and his wife Pamela of Van Buren, Ronald and his wife Judy of Westfield, Patrick and his wife Mirela of Scarborough, Peter and his wife Julie of Colorado Springs, CO; three daughters, Karen Michaud of Van Buren, Diane Griffin of Old Orchard Beach, and Michelle Lucatorta and her husband Matthew of Killeen, TX; nine grandchildren; Norman, Mark, Tony, Dennis, Ryan, Amy, Travis, Hunter, and Walker; four sisters, Leola Laplante of Van Buren, Gloria Levesque of Madawaska, Theresa Lajoie and Louise Madore both of New Hampshire; many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by one brother, Claude Michaud and by three sisters, Irma Franck, Lorette Ouellette, and Priscilla Daigle. A Funeral Service, officiated by Pastor Michael Giangiordano will be held at 2pm on Friday, May 28 at Lajoie Funeral Home in Madawaska. Family and friends may call at the funeral home from 12pm until time of service on Friday. Interment will immediately follow in St. David Cemetery.
