St. Francis—Clyde L. Taggett, 80, passed away peacefully on October 26, 2021, at a Fort Kent health care facility. He was born on September 4, 1941, son of the late Frank and Matilda (Michaud) Taggett. At a very young age Clyde left home to go work in the woods with his father. His strong work ethic shined through every project he did. Clyde was a proud 4th degree Knights of Columbus member and cherished his friends and family. His friends looked forward to his cookouts on snowmobile rides. Clyde enjoyed volunteering his time preparing firewood for the St. Charles church in St. Francis for the long cold winters. His love for hunting and fishing always brought him so much joy.

Clyde was kind and humble; always with a smile; even in his final days he was able to fill a room with laughter. As Clyde transitioned from life at home to life at Forest Hill, he developed deep appreciation and gratitude for the staff who cared for him day to day. He wanted to make sure his "Forest Hill Girls" knew he loved them…!

Clyde is survived by his three children, Patty Martin and her husband Robert of St. Francis, Frankie Taggett of St. Francis, Doug Taggett and his wife Tessy of Fort Kent; three brothers, Sheldon, Dale, Carol; four sisters, Gene, Albertine, Annabelle, Lynn; nine grandchildren, Hillary, Sarah, Buddy, Christopher, Betsy, Matthew, Jarod, Mason, & Tyler; Nine greatgrandchildren, Logan, Madison, Angel, Laney, Libby, Vance, Luke, Beau, & Drew. Clyde is predeceased by his parents Frank and Matilda (Michaud) Taggett; one son, Randy Taggett; his wife Margie (Jandreau) Taggett who passed earlier this year; two brothers, Ronald and Martin; three sisters, Quindy, Monica, and Pauline; one infant great-granddaughter, Faith. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10am on Saturday, October 30, 2021, at St. Charles Church in St. Francis.
