Van Buren--- Conde A. Desjardins, 89, peacefully entered into rest November 15, 2020, at a Caribou hospital. He was born December 13, 1930 in Siegas, NB, Canada, a son of the late Abel and Lizzie (Lausier) Desjardins.

Conde worked as a foreman for former Jo Lapointe Farms, Cyr Plantation, for many years and worked at former Kevlar, Van Buren. He was a devoted parishioner of St. Bruno-St. Remi Catholic Church and a 3 ^rd Degree member of the Knights of Columbus, Van Buren. He was always a hard worker and constantly kept his hands busy, even well after retirement. A devoted father and husband, he enjoyed simpler times spending time with his loving wife, children and grandchildren.

He is survived by: one son, Steve J. Desjardins and his companion Linda Poitras of Van Buren; two daughters, Amy Parker and her husband Trevor of Washington State and Janice Kuhles of New York; two grandchildren, Adam and Aaron; one brother, Aurele Desjardins of Connecticut; and several nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, Conde was predeceased by his wife of 60 years, Yvette (Ouellette) Desjardins in 2013, and siblings, Dorice Desjardins and Theresa Ballard.

A memorial service will be announced and celebrated in the spring. Arrangements are a service of Lajoie Funeral Home, 118 High St., Van Buren.
