Connie Deschaine, born on November 22, 1964, passed away peacefully on March 23, 2026, surrounded by her loved ones.

She is lovingly survived by her husband, Michael Deschaine; her son, Joyime “JD” Deschaine and spouse Michelle, along with their children, Abram and Anna; her daughter, Shelby Boyden and spouse Benjamin, along with their children, Bridgette and Jameson; her brother, Greg O’Leary and his spouse Hee Ja of Las Vegas, NV; her brother, Galen O’Leary and his spouse Brenda of Allagash; her nieces, Shilo Biggs, Suzanne Hebert, along with many more deeply loved nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her parents, Ruth and Cal O’Leary; her sisters, Beatrice “BeaPea” Gardner and Caroline “Kadi” O’Leary; and her brother, Dale O’Leary.

She dedicated over 18 years of her life to caring for others as a CNA and medication technician at Forest Hill. She also worked as a certified medical assistant and as a CNA on the medical-surgical floor at Northern Maine Medical Center. Throughout her career, Connie was known not only for her skill, but for her deep compassion and genuine connection with those in her care. Connie had a rare gift for making people feel seen, safe, and cared for during some of life’s most difficult times.

She mentored many CNAs and helped numerous nurses build strong foundations in their careers, always leading by example with patience and encouragement.

That same compassion extended far beyond her work. Connie was the person family members and friends could always count on in times of need. Her family was her greatest joy, and she was a proud and devoted wife, mother, aunt, grandmother, and friend. She gave her time, her energy, and her heart without hesitation—caring for loved ones, offering comfort, and quietly stepping in whenever someone needed help. Whether it was through a kind word, a helping hand, or simply being present, Connie made a lasting difference in the lives of so many.

Those who knew Connie will remember her as a kind and gentle soul who also loved to laugh and enjoy life with her loved ones. She brought comfort, joy, and light wherever she went. She was a wonderful mother and a steady source of love and support for her family.

Connie was an avid reader, often finding peace and joy within the pages of a good book. She also had a special talent in the kitchen and took great pride in her cooking and baking. Whether preparing meals for her family or making treats to share with others, everything she made was done with care and love. Her kitchen was a place of comfort, where family and friends gathered, and her meals and baked goods will be fondly remembered by all who were lucky enough to enjoy them. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing and loving her.
