Obituary

Madawaska---Constance Lachance, 86, passed away on April 14, 2014 at a Frenchville health care facility. She was born in Grand Isle on May 15, 1927, daughter of the late Vital and Delia (Picard) Picard. Constance was a communicant of St. Thomas Aquinas Church and enjoyed going to church every Sunday. She was a lifetime member of the American Legion Auxiliary in Madawaska. She often talked about how she missed living at the Maison Acadienne, and being among all of her friends. She is survived by two sisters, Jackie Ormes of Michigan, Gloria Lajoie and her husband Lionel of Baker Lake, New Brunswick; a special niece, Maxine Clavette of St. Agatha; several nieces and nephews. Connie was predeceased by her husband, Valere Lachance. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10am on Wednesday, April 23, 2014 at St. Thomas Aquinas Church. Family and friends may offer their condolences at the church from 9am until time of service on Wednesday. Spring interment will be held in the Parish cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Aroostook, 14 Access Highway, Caribou, ME 04736 or to No One Dies Alone, (NODA), St. Thomas Aquinas Church, 481 Grandview Ave., Madawaska, ME 04756. Arrangements have been entrusted to Lajoie Funeral Home.
