November 12, 1935 – October 14, 2020
Hamlin--- Constance D. Lapierre, 84, peacefully entered into rest Wednesday, October 14, 2020, at a Bangor hospital. She was born November 12, 1935 in Keegan, one of three daughters of the late Guy and Irene (Beaulieu) Duperry.
Connie worked several years as a teacher's aide with Van Buren schools and as an insurance agent with former AC Madore Insurance. Her biggest achievement was her devotion as a wife and mother who loved to care for her husband, children, and adored helping raise her grandchildren. She was a devout Catholic and attended Mass at St. Bruno-St. Remi Church and St. Joseph Church, and was a longtime member of the Columbiettes. Connie enjoyed scrapbooking, making homemade greeting cards and was a skilled landscape painter, sharing her crafts with her family and friends.
She is survived by: six children, Gary Lapierre and his companion Patti Machie of Ocala, FL, Elaine Ouellette and her husband Vern, Steve Lapierre and his companion Nola Thibodeau, all of Van Buren, Judy Roy and her husband George of Lisbon Falls, Sandra Hill and her husband Rick of Jacksonville, FL, and Alan Lapierre and his wife Jeanne of Glen Allen, VA; one sister, Jacqueline Labbe of Madawaska; 12 grandchildren, Lee Ann, Joey, Jennifer, Kerri, Tyler, Connor, Eric, Greg, Tim, Monica, Brian, & Kevin; step grandchildren, Lucas & Macie; 21 great grandchildren with two on the way; and several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, Connie was predeceased by her beloved husband of over 60 years, Gerald Lapierre in 2014, a sister, Patricia Bouchard, and a great grandson, Dayton Lapierre.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated privately by Connie's family at St. Bruno-St. Remi Church, Van Buren, with burial following in the parish cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Connie's name may be made to: St. Joseph Parish Needs, c/o Knights of Columbus, 284 Main St., Van Buren, ME 04785. Arrangements are a service of Lajoie Funeral Home, 118 High St., Van Buren.
