Van Buren--- Cora Marie (Cyr) Sirois, 86, peacefully entered into rest May 28, 2025. She was born September 20, 1938, in Van Buren, a daughter of the late Everette and Almida (Ruest) Cyr and was the beloved wife of almost 37 years to the late Philip E. Sirois.

Cora worked several years with Ezzy Insurance but was an instrumental part of her husband's company, the former Sirois Supply Gas Station, Van Buren, for many years, assisting in maintaining the bookkeeping duties. She was involved for many years assisting St. Bruno-St. Remi Church with Mercy Meals after funerals and she cherished participating with the church choir.

She is survived by her three children, Mike Sirois and his wife Jacqueline, Lisa Bellefleur, and Roger C. Sirois and his wife Lynn; seven grandchildren, Ryan Sirois, Monique Sirois, Kylie Turner and her husband Tim, Erica Ebersole and her husband Kyle, Jake Bellefleur, Adam Sirois and his wife Ivy and Abby Sirois; two great grandchildren, Cole and Weston; and several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, Cora was predeceased by her husband in 1996, a grandson, Alex, in 1990, a son-in-law, Glen Bellefleur in 2021. and two siblings, Greta Bradley and Rudy Cyr.

The family of Cora Sirois would like to extend their deepest appreciation to the many doctors, nurses and staff of Leisure Village, Senior Domestics, and Majesty Homes for their devoted and compassionate support of Cora during her years while living in Presque Isle.

A funeral service will be celebrated at 11 AM on Wednesday, June 4, 2025, at Lajoie Funeral Home, 118 High St., Van Buren, with Father Kent Ouellette officiating. Relatives and friends may greet the family Wednesday morning 10 AM until the time of service at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Grand River Cemetery, Van Buren.
