Obituary

Madawaska---Curtis A. Levesque, 19, passed away unexpectedly on January 5, 2024, in Frenchville.  He was born in Dover, New Hampshire on May 1, 2004, beloved son of Andrew and Monica (Corriveau) Levesque.  Curtis was a 2022 graduate of Madawaska High School, as well as the Saint John Valley Technology Center in Frenchville.  He was currently enrolled in the welding program at Eastern Maine Community College.  Curtis was an avid welder, with an unmatchable eagerness for life.  When he wasn't out and about with his friends, you could find him in the garage working on his antique trucks.  His outgoing and fearless personality made him who he was; an unstoppable, motivated, and hardworking young man, who was loved by so many.  When he was on school break, he worked with Travis Guerrette.  Curtis started to ride dirt bikes when he was four and fell in love with anything with two wheels.  When he was twelve, he convinced his father to buy him a snowmobile, and that began a love for that sport also.  Curtis will be most remembered for his love of fixing and modifying older trucks.  A passion and skill he learned from his father.  He loved his family immensely.  He was a thoughtful and protective older brother.  He had a special bond with his mother which was easily seen by anyone who knew him.  He is survived by his parents, Andrew and Monica Levesque; one sister, Avery Levesque; one brother, Noah Levesque all of Madawaska; paternal grandparents, Vernon and Diane Levesque of Madawaska; maternal grandfather, Walter Corriveau of St. Agatha; aunts and uncles, Tina Lizotte and her husband Alan of Grand Isle, Vicky Corriveau of St. Agatha, Craig Levesque and his wife Cesia of Lebanon, ME; three cousins, Elisha and her husband Matt Sirois, Shane Lizotte, Chasity Lizotte and her companion Kurt of Frenchville.  He was predeceased by his grandmother, Joan Corriveau.  A Funeral Service will be held 10am on Friday, January 12, 2024, at the St. David Church.  Relatives and friends may call on Thursday from 5pm to 8pm at Lajoie Funeral Home in Madawaska.
