Obituary

Fort Kent – Dale Theriault entered the gates of heaven on November 1, 2020 at the age of 55 after a long, courageous battle with cancer. Dale never complained and never gave up hope, he woke up every morning with a purpose in life. Dale was born on January 25, 1965 in Fort Kent, the youngest child of six children, to the late Yvon and Isabelle (Levesque) Theriault. He graduated from Fort Kent Community High Class of 1985. A devoted member of St. Louis Catholic Church, Dale prayed daily and attended mass every week, a ritual he looked forward to. Dales desire to help people and encourage them was reflected in all his daily routines. His warm smile and generous heart will truly be missed by all who knew him. Dale cherished the time he spent with his high school classmates. The family thanks all of you for your support during Dale's illness. The abundance of love and support you gave Dale overflowed onto our family. Dale loved each one of you dearly. Thank you to the extraordinary staff at St. Joseph's facility who always treated our brother with kindness, respect, compassion, and dignity. Many thanks to Paradise's Shop n' Save family and employees for including him as part of your family for the past 27 years. Dale has lovingly recounted many fond memories especially the Christmas parties, Dale seemed to always hit the "jackpot" of goodies and couldn't wait to tell us all. He would have loved nothing more than to be able to join you one more time. Dale volunteered countless hours with community organizations and was recognized for his dedication in January 2020 by the Lion's Club and the Martin-Klein American Legion Post #133 in Fort Kent. Dale enjoyed walking, woodworking, gardening, fishing and early morning coffee with "the Guys" at Rock's. Most of all, he treasured time spent with family and the many rides to the Allagash. Before his passing, Dale kept occupied building and painting beautiful birdhouses which he gifted to family and friends, each piece lovingly hand signed and dated. Dale leaves behind many memories to be cherished by two sisters Patsy (Doran) Bouchard of Naples, Florida and Judy (Bob) Newman of Satsuma, Florida. His two brothers Yvon (Linda) Theriault of Satsuma, Florida, and Helden Theriault and his companion Judy Gagnon of Fort Kent; four nieces Michelle, Cheryl, Lori and Nicole; four nephews Scott, Keith, Ellis, and Chris; along with several great nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Dale was predeceased by infant sister Rita, sister-in-law Ginette Theriault, and niece Susan (Theriault) Gorton. Dale, loving brother, we knew your wings were ready, but our hearts were not. You will be sadly and deeply missed. In lieu of flowers please donate to the Edgar J.
