Fort Kent--- Davis C. Deschaine, 42, passed away peacefully January 11, 2025, at Tufts Medical Center, Boston, MA, awaiting a liver transplant. He was born July 6, 1982, in Fort Kent, a son of Marvin and Lorraine (Raymond) Deschine, and was a graduate of Fort Kent Community High School, Class of 2000.

Davis enlisted with the Army National Guard in 2003. He was called into active duty during Operation Enduring Freedom and served in Iraq and Kuwait. He was a self-employed carpenter for several years in Fort Kent and worked all over the Valley. He also went to Portland for a short time for a construction company. Davis worked in the woods as a skidder operator. He last worked at Twin Rivers Paper Mill for many years, until he had to take medical leave. Davis loved the outdoors and cherished navigating his motorcycle throughout Maine every chance he got. He loved raising his sons and took every opportunity to and was exceptionally proud of all their accomplishments.

He is survived by two sons, Dawson and Kaden Deschaine, of Fort Kent; his parents of Fort Kent; two brothers, Travis Deschaine and his wife Gail of Buxton and Curtis Deschaine of Wallagrass; four nieces and nephews, Lexsey, Aiden, Kailey & Coby; and many aunts, uncles and cousins spread near and far.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 AM on Thursday, January 23, 2025, at St. Louis Church, Fort Kent. Relatives and friends may greet the family Wednesday evening 6 -8:00 PM and Thursday morning 8:30 – 9:30 AM at Lajoie-Daigle Funeral Home, 14 E. Main St., Fort Kent. Spring interment will be in the parish cemetery.
