Madawaska---Delia S. Lagasse, 93, passed away on Saturday, October 2, 2010 at a Madawaska health care facility. She was born in St. David on November 20, 1916 the daughter of the late Theodule and Elise (Hebert) Sirois. Delia worked as the town librarian for forty two years. She was also well known for selling Avon products in Madawaska and Frenchville for many years. She liked crocheting and reading in her spare time. She especially loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She is survived by four daughters, Aurella Painter of Florida, Fern Beaupre and her husband Archie of Coventry, CT, Charlene Dionne of Farmington, CT, and Leola Bouchard and her husband Ron of Georgia; one son, Leo Lagasse and his wife Lil of Wells, ME; thirteen grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. Delia was predeceased by her husband, Aurele Lagasse in 1951, her daughter, Helen Terranova, two brothers, Paul and Lucien Sirois. A Funeral Service will be held 10am on Wednesday, October 6 at the St. David Church. Family and friends may call at Lajoie Funeral Home from 9am until time of service on Wednesday.
