Obituary
Fort Kent--- Delsie "Dike" Corriveau, 78, entered into rest peacefully Friday, April 20, 2018, at his home with his family by his side. He was born September 23, 1939 in Fort Kent, a son of the late Antoine and Irene (Pinette) Corriveau.
Dike worked as a mechanic for Pinkham Lumber for 18 years before opening and operating former Dike & Sons, Fort Kent, for over 20 years. His son continues the business today as Rob's Welding and Repair. He proudly constructed his own home for his children and family. His hobby was work and even worked various projects up to his last days, especially managing his wood lots and a vegetable garden.
He is survived by: his beloved wife of almost 59 years, Charlene (Ouellette) Corriveau of Fort Kent; four sons, Bruce Corriveau, Perry Corriveau and his fiancé Karen Otstot, and Robby Corriveau, all of Fort Kent, and Ricky Corriveau and his wife Maria of Bristol, CT; two grandsons, Nicholas & Adam Corriveau; three great grandsons; five siblings, Pauline Guimond and her husband Albert, Jimmy Corriveau and his wife Norma, all of Fort Kent, James "Nelson" Corriveau and his wife Blanche of Wallagrass, Rena Pelletier and her husband Lenny of Enfield, and Eva Michaud and her husband Bob of Connecticut; and many nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, Dike is predeceased by two sisters, Jean Pinette and Jennette Voisine.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 AM on Wednesday, April 25, 2018, at St. Louis Catholic Church, Fort Kent. There will be no calling hours. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are a service of Lajoie-Daigle Funeral Home, 14 E. Main St., Fort Kent.
