Fort Kent---Denise (Caron) Saucier, 51, passed away suddenly on March 28, 2023, in Fort Kent.  She was born in Fort Kent on May 11, 1971, daughter of Claude and Nicole (Cyr) Caron.  She is survived by her daughter, Amanda Fitzpatrick, who she called "Fille," her husband Jimmy, and her granddaughter, Natalie Fitzpatrick, who she called "Chere," all of Littleton; her father, Claude Caron, of Fort Kent; four brothers, Wayne Caron, Andrew Caron and his wife Jill, Tony Caron, Craig Caron and his wife Tina, all of Fort Kent; and many nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by her mother, Nicole (Cyr) Caron.

For 22 years, Denise worked throughout the MSAD #54 as an administrative assistant.  Her kind heart always made each person feel like a priority.  "Grace under fire" is how her former co-workers described how Denise provided calm in very stressful situations while working there.  Though she worked at Rudman and Winchell for a short while, her coworkers there felt privileged to have known her.  Her friends and family will remember her as being determined, compassionate, trustworthy, never judgmental, and sometimes "tannant."  Her granddaughter, Natalie, was the center of her world.  The two had a special bond and Denise would often say Natalie makes "Memere's heart smile."

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10am on Monday, April 10, 2023 at the St. Louis Church in Fort Kent.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Lajoie-Daigle Funeral Home.
