Van Buren---Diane M. Stewart, 87, passed away on October 26, 2015 at a Caribou Health Care Facility. She was born in Van Buren on June 15, 1928, daughter of the late Henry and Winnifred ( Ringuette) Madore. Diane was a lifetime member of the American Legion Auxiliary and the Columbiettes of Van Buren. She was also a member of the Lions Club, and the St. Bruno's Choir Society, as well as an avid bowler. Diane really enjoyed spending time with her family, but especially her great grand-daughter, Emma. She is survived by one daughter, Carol Olson and her husband Rick of Coventry, CT; one son, Charles Stewart and his companion Patricia of Fort Kent; one grandchild, Kelly Olson and her companion Roland of Coventry, CT; one great-grandchild, Emma Olson of Coventry, CT; two brothers, Ferdnand Madore and his wife Marian of Carson City, NV, Peter Madore and his wife Kathy of Dinwiddie, VA; many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was predeceased by her husband John "Jack" Stewart in 1994; two sisters, Jeannine Laplante and Marlene Madore; one brother, Robert Madore. Arrangements have been entrusted to Lajoie Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
