Obituary

St. John Plt—Docite "Junior" Jandreau III 74, passed away after battling cancer on February 2, 2021. He was born in St. Francis on December 2, 1946 to Docite Jandreau II and Ida (Baker) Jandreau. He was Married to the love of his life, Irene Anna Pelletier of Allagash for 49 years until her passing in 2016. Junior was a meat cutter for Hannaford and then became a meat department manager for Graves' Shop N Save in Mars Hill. He had a farm raising beef cattle, pigs, chickens, and his own meat cutting shop. He had a passion for woodworking, carpentry, and the outdoors and could always be found hunting, fishing, and trapping. He enjoyed playing his guitar with family and was well known for his "spirited" lyrics that would certainly bring a smile or a blush to one's face. Junior was a kind and giving man, who would do anything for anyone. He lived strong in his Catholic faith, having made his Cursillo, and was a 3 rd degree member of the Knights of Columbus, in both Presque Isle and Fort Kent Councils. As well as his parents and his wife, he was predeceased by his brothers; Donald, Huey, Leonard, and Niles Jandreau; One sister Lou-Sandy Boutot and several brothers and sisters in law. He is survived by his children; Tammy (Todd) Willey of Presque Isle; Stanley (Sharon) Jandreau of Mapleton. Grandchildren Taylor (Audri) Willey; Benjamin Willey; Lance and Brooke Jandreau. Great grandchildren Harper and Royce Willey. Brothers; Franklin (Mary) Jandreau of CT, Michael (Margarete) Jandreau of Augusta. Sisters; Cozy-Mae (Terry) Hannon of Bangor; Ida (Gerard) Charette of Masardis; Beth Albert and Violette Morneault of Eagle Lake, many brother and sisters in law, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Due to the current pandemic private services will be held by the family. Internment will be held in the spring at the new Catholic Cemetery in St. Francis, to be announced in the spring. Arrangements have been entrusted to Lajoie-Daigle Funeral Home.
