Madawaska---Dolores Cyr, 86, passed away February 15, 2014, surrounded by her family at a Madawaska health care facility after a short illness. She was born in St. Agatha on August 24, 1927, daughter of the late Ernest and Annie (Thibodeau) Cyr. Dolores loved to dance, play cards, and embroider. She was a member of Daughters of Isabella and the Red Hat Society. She is survived by three daughters, Louise Depew and her husband Jay of Old Town, Nancy Patterson and her husband Kaleo of Hawaii, Flo Morneault of Madawaska; five sons, Jim Cyr and his wife Angie of Madawaska, Jean Cyr of New York, Charles Cyr and his wife Monique of St. David, Marcel Cyr and his wife Patsy of Brunswick, Bert Cyr and his wife Rina of Madawaska; twenty grandchildren; twenty three great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; two sisters, Fern Dufour of Portland, Luella St. Pierre of Connecticut. She was predeceased by her husband Leo Cyr and by one grand-daughter, Alyssa Cyr. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11am on Monday, February 17, 2014 at the St. Thomas Aquinas Church. Family and friends may call at Lajoie Funeral Home from 6-8pm on Sunday and from 9:30am until 10:30am on Monday before the service.
