St. Agatha---Donald Collin, 69, passed away on June 13, 2023, at a Portland health care facility, surrounded by his loving family.  He was born in Edmundston, New Brunswick on March 13, 1954, son of the late Gerard G. and Marriette (Bellefleur) Collin.  Don worked at Twin Rivers for twenty-eight years.  He enjoyed doing auto body work during his down time.  He was a big jokester and loved every minute he got to spend with his grandchildren.  He will be fondly remembered for the many tuna fishing expeditions with his friend Gary.  He loved spending time with his wife, Micheline, especially taking rides in his Plymouth.  She truly was the center of his universe.  Don is survived by his beloved wife of forty five years, Micheline (Cyr) Collin of St. Agatha; one daughter, Rachel Fortin and her husband Scott of St. Agatha; his son, Shawn Collin and his fiancé Samantha Zinis of Madawaska; nine grandchildren, Kelsey, Alyssa, Lakota, Kaige, Leeland, Jacques, Kaleb, Skyla, Patrick, and Bryce; his siblings, Lily Brooker and her husband Steve of Elliot, Robert Collin and his wife Joan of Caribou, Johnny Collin and his wife Joan of St. Agatha, Daniel Collin and his wife June of Frenchville; many nieces and nephews.  He will be dearly missed by his dogs, Lulu and Coco, and his cat, Gizmo.  He was predeceased by his daughter, Tammy (Collin) Banville on October 4, 2022.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10am on Thursday, June 29, 2023, at the St. Agatha Church.  Relatives and friends may call at Lajoie Funeral Home in Madawaska from 6pm to 8pm on Wednesday, June 28.  There will be no visiting hours the morning of the Funeral Mass.
