Winterville—Donald S. Drake, 90, passed away peacefully on December 26, 2021, at a Fort Kent health care facility. He was born on February 5, 1931, son of the late Stanley and Eunice (Hat) Drake. Donald was stationed in Japan for 4 years during the Korean war. After leaving Veeder Route in Hartford, Ct he went to work for ABA-PGT in Manchester, CT until his retirement. He is survived by his loving wife, Joan (Soucy) Drake of 64 years; his 4 children, David Drake, Kevin Drake and his wife Sheri, Sharon Drake Maggs and her husband Dave, and Brian Drake; three brothers, Dick Drake and wife Madeline, Floyd Drake, Rae Drake and wife Jane; three sisters, Nellie Pawlak and her husband Bob, Florence Millette and her husband Dick, Lyla Summers and her husband Dave; along with 11 grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren. Donald is predeceased by his three brothers, Elwin, Lawrence, and Gordon; seven sisters, Dot, Louise, Carol, Lona, Freda, Joyce, and Virginia. A memorial mass will be held at the convenience of the family in Spring 2022. Arrangements have been entrusted to Lajoie-Daigle Funeral Home.
