Fort Kent--- Donald "Donaldo the Great" Michaud, 60, passed away unexpectedly June 10, 2023, following an unfortunate four-wheeler accident. He was born March 24, 1963, a son of Maurice Michaud and the late Theresa (Lizotte) Michaud, and was a graduate of Fort Kent Community High School, Class of 1981.

He enlisted in the US Army in 1983, but only stayed a short time due to injury. Upon his return to the St. John Valley, he was a carpenter that traveled all throughout the Valley. Most recently, he also took up plowing with his daughter and her husband, K.R. Property Maintenance, Fort Kent. Donaldo loved to ride his Harley Davidson, was a Corn Hole champion, and loved golfing, where he was a board member of the Fort Kent Golf Course. He also had a green thumb and grew many vegetables to share with family and friends. During the fall, he would head to the woods for many hunting excursions and excitedly won and filled a lifetime moose tag.

Don is survived by three children, April (Kevin) Dubois, Christine Robinson, and Kelley (Kevin) Raymond; step-children, Joey, Lauren, Mary, and DonDon; his spouse, Melissa; one brother, David Michaud; half siblings, Robert, Chris, and Stephanie; fourteen grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 AM on Tuesday, June 20, 2023, at St. Louis Catholic Church, E. Main St., Fort Kent. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are a service of Lajoie-Daigle Funeral Home, 14 E. Main St., Fort Kent.
