St. David---Donald P. Beaulieu, 80, passed away peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer on August 25, 2016 at a Madawaska health care facility.  He was born in Madawaska on May 19, 1936, son of the late Patrick and Bertha (Bouchard) Beaulieu.  Don served in the United States Army from 1956-1958.  He worked with his father as a farmer from 1958-1964.  He started at Fraser Paper in the finishing room in 1961 and retired as a mason in 1998, after thirty-seven years of hard, dedicated work.  He was a quiet, humble, hard-working man that never complained.  He always had a warm, gentle smile.  Don was a very caring man with a tremendous work ethic. He was always very dedicated to his family.  He was an avid snowmobiler and thoroughly enjoyed being a lifetime member of the Madawaska Snowmobile Club, where he made many friends.  He is survived by one daughter, Rachel F. Duran and her husband Michael J. of Madawaska; one son, Patrick Beaulieu and his wife Michelle of Lewiston; one sister, Nancy Daigle of Madawaska; one brother, Francis Beaulieu and his wife Muriel of St. David; several nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by his wife Cecile (Lajoie) Beaulieu; two sisters, Verna Beaulieu and Joan Ouellette.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10am on Tuesday, August 30, 2016 at the St. David Church.  Family and friends may offer their condolences at the church on Tuesday from 9am-9:45am.  Interment will immediately follow in the Parish cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, contributions in Donald's memory may be made to Mizpah, P.O. Box 216, Grand Isle, ME 04746, or the Edgar J. Paradis Fund, 194 East Main St., Fort Kent, ME 04743.   Arrangements have been entrusted to Lajoie Funeral Home.
