Madawaska—Donald Pelletier, 83, passed away peacefully on June 20, 2021 (Father's Day), to join his heavenly Father up above. Donald was born on January 4, 1938, son of the late Arthy and Blanche (Levesque) Pelletier. Donald was a Knights of Columbus member and would volunteer many hours to the church. All of Donald's free time was spent building the large cross, that is located right off of Riverview st. For about 20 years Donald lived in Connecticut where he raised his family, but his home was always in Madawaska. He then moved back to Madawaska in the early 80s. Donald is survived by two children, Brian Pelletier and his fiancé Darlene of Connecticut, Brenda Hofmann and her husband James of Connecticut; his special companion, Carol Pelletier; two brothers, James Pelletier and his wife Lisa of Connecticut, Ronald Pelletier of Grand Isle; three sisters, Theresa Gervais of St. David, Mildred Ouellette and her husband Richard of Caribou, Madeleine Sanborn and her husband Edgar of Madawaska; along with many grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Donald is predeceased by his parents Arthy and Blanche (Levesque) Pelletier; one son, Russell Pelletier; one brother, Harold Pelletier; one infant sister, Germaine Pelletier; one great-grandchild, Kyle Valerio. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10am on Friday, June 25, 2021 at St. David church. Family and friends may call at Lajoie Funeral Home from 8:30am-9:30am the morning of the service.
