Madawaska---Donald R. Tardif, 69, passed away on December 21, 2010 at a Fort Kent health care facility. He was born in Baker Lake, New Brunswick on May 18, 1941, the son of Edgar and Jeanne (Ouellette) Tardif. Donald was a communicant of St. Thomas Aquinas Church and a member of the Knights of Columbus, Council # 2638 of Madawaska. He was also a member of the American Legion, post # 147 of Madawaska. He is survived by his wife of twenty seven years, Cecile (Dufour) Tardif of Madawaska; his mother, Jeanne Auclaire of CT; one daughter, Lisa Tardif Ramirez of CA; two stepchildren, Gary Dube of Georgia and Kim Dube of Sanford; one grandson, Dillon Armogida of CA; three sisters, Lillian Brown, Jocelyn Allen and her husband Steve, Peggy Kulk and her husband Richard all of CT. He was predeceased by his father, one sister, and six brothers. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10am on Monday, December 27 at the St. Thomas Aquinas Church in Madawaska. Family and friends may call at Lajoie Funeral Home from 8am until time of service on Monday.
