Madawaska---Donat J. Clavette, 79, passed away peacefully on September 3, 2011 at a Madawaska health care facility. He was born in Madawaska, on October 16, 1931, the son of the late Denis and Mathilda (Doucette) Clavette. He is survived by five sisters, Theresa Couturier and her husband Charles of Madawaska, Simone Mack and her husband Herbert of Newington, CT, Vi Bouchard and her husband Harold of Frenchville, Blanche Haskins and her husband Roy of Lakeland, FL, Muriel Barry and her husband Michael of Frenchville; five brothers, Yvon Clavette and his wife Yvette of Watertown, CT, Gilbert Clavette and his wife Sandi of Vero Beach, FL, Maurice Clavette and his wife Louise of Madawaska, Claude Clavette and his wife Jackie of Murfreesboro, TN, Oneil Clavette and his wife Donna of Madawaska; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother Lawrence Clavette. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10am on Wednesday, September 7 at the St. Thomas Aquinas Church. Family and friends may call at Lajoie Funeral Home from 6-8pm on Tuesday and from 9am until time of service on Wednesday.
