Donna Marie Bernier, 57, unexpectedly departed from this world on February 5 ^th , 2022, in her Allagash home. She was born March 17, 1964, the daughter of Lionel "Piton" Bernier and Linda (Michaud) Jackson, both of Fort Kent, Maine.

Donna was the Fort Kent Class of 1982. She loved to learn and loved educating herself. She had an Associates in Human Services and CNA degree (three credits away from an LPN), which she used to work in numerous nursing facilities across northern Aroostook County; However, she eventually chose to stay closer to home and work with people in her local community through years of employment with North Maine Woods, as well as Two Rivers Lunch. She was well-loved by all and well-known for her pleasant, joyful personality that could bring a smile to anyone's face. She loved people and she was the most kind-hearted, selfless, and compassionate person you could ever meet. She was always trying to help others. Donna was the type of person you never forgot and could not find a memory without a smile involving her. She loved to laugh and joke and had such an inviting personality.

Donna found pleasure in quilting, playing online poker, and making jewelry. She was a very creative person who had a strong talent for writing and drawing, which she didn't share with many. The one thing she did enjoy sharing was her pride in her grandchildren, as they were the shining light in her life. Everyone she spoke to heard a story or saw pictures of them. Family meant everything to Donna. Her days were never complete without a phone call with her daughter or a visit with her son.

She was survived by her significant other of over twenty years, Desiree Tarrant, of South Carolina. Her son, Bradley Bernier, of Maine. Her daughter (and husband), Angie and Jesse Lowell, of Maine. Her granddaughters, Wynter and Hailee (Angie), of Maine, and Autumn (Bradley), of New Hampshire. Her grandsons, Chace and Koden (Angie) of Maine, and River (Bradley) of New Hampshire. She was expecting her last as a granddaughter due to arrive in July (Angie). She had a fifth-generation pride in her great-granddaughter, Oakleigh (Autumn), of New Hampshire. She is also survived by her mother and step-father, Linda and Harold Jackson, of Maine, and father and stepmother, Lionel and Pierrette Bernier, of Maine, brothers, Wayne (and Julie) Bernier, Bruce (and Holly) Bernier, of Maine, and Jason Bernier, of North Carolina, and sister, Paula Bernier, of Maine, as well as two step-sisters, Sonia (and Robert) Greer, of Hawaii, and Vicky (and Clark) Dubois, of Maine. Also, many dearly loved aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and friends.

There will be no services held, as her wishes, but a Celebration of Life at a later date.
