Van Buren, ME & Ellington, CT--- Dora Levesque Dumond, 89, peacefully entered into Eternal Life on April 30, 2023, at a Van Buren healthcare facility, with her family at her side. She was born January 10, 1934, in St. Basile, NB, Canada, a daughter of the late Felix and Alvine (Roy) Martin.
While raising her children, Dora and Arnold resided in Ellington, CT and she was employed full-time at Rice Packaging Company. She was a very hard worker, devoted mother, and wife. Dora was a life-long member of the Catholic Church. Following retirement, Dora and Arnold relocated back to Arnold's hometown of Van Buren where she was a former member of the Red Hat Society, and delighted being close to her many brothers and sisters. She was an avid reader and enjoyed listening and dancing to Country Music.
She is survived by one son, Ronald Levesque and his wife Maryann of Connecticut; four daughters, Debra Bisaillon and her husband Richard, Sandra Levesque, Norma Young and her husband Jerry and Joyce Ouellette and her husband Jerry, all of Connecticut; ten grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; five brothers, Gilles Martin, Emile Martin, Leon Martin, Roland Martin, and Aurele Martin; six sisters, Cecile Bellefleur, Adrienne Martin, Alma Lavoie, Lucille Rogers, Jacqueline Babin, and Nicole Garceau; and many nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, Dora was predeceased by her first husband, Arnold Levesque, in 2001, her second husband, Donald Dumond, in 2019, two sons, Norman and Donald Levesque, and a brother, Oneil Martin.
Relatives and friends may greet the family Tuesday, June 20, 2023, 8:30-9:30 AM, at Lajoie Funeral Home, 118 High St., Van Buren. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10 AM at St. Bruno-St. Remi Catholic Church, Van Buren. Burial will be in Grand River Cemetery, Van Buren.
