St. Francis---Dorilla Ouellette "Do", 91, passed away after a long illness on March 27, 2023 at a Frenchville health care facility. She was born in St. Francis on September 13, 1931, daughter of the late Jeremiah and Odile (Morin) Ouellette. "Do" was a member of the Columbiettes, American Legion Auxiliary, Snow Angels, 4 Wheel Club, Catholic Youth Organization. She was also a choir director, coached cheer leaders, basketball, and softball. She attained a Bachelors degree in education and participated in continuing education classes while teaching for thirty five years. She was fun loving, and adventurous. She loved anything to do with the outdoors, especially gardening. "Do" and her husband Lincoln were a professional couple, dedicated to their community, and to each other. She gave those around her a sense of security and well-being, that the best is yet to come. She is survived by one son, Jerome Ouellette and his wife Carol of Fort Kent; one daughter, Sonia Sabo and her husband Robert of Smithfield, RI; one sister, Monica Jandreau of St. Francis; one brother, Ervin Ouellette also of St. Francis; five grandchildren, Holly, Heidi, Zachary, Ian, and Simeon; two great-grandchildren, Joseph and his wife Katsydenice Pozo, and Dustin. She was predeceased by her husband of 58 years, Lincoln Ouellette; three sisters, Bertille Walker, Joan Keaton, and Clara Picard; three brothers, Camille, Norman, and Rudolph. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10am on Tuesday, April 4, 2023 at the St. Charles Church in St. Francis. Relatives and friends may call at Lajoie-Daigle Funeral Home from 8am until 9:30am on Tuesday before the Mass. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Dorilla's memory may be made to Alzheimer's Association, 383 US Route one, Suite 2C, Scarborough, ME 04074.
