Madawaska---Doris Dechaine, 92, passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 15, 2012 at a local health care facility. She was born in Cambridge , MA on May 16, 1920 daughter of the late George E. and Marion ( Hamilton ) Schneider. Doris enjoyed traveling in and out of state with her daughter Carol. She loved the family dog, Oscar. Most importantly, she loved spending time with her family at home. She is survived by three daughters, Lanette Walters and her husband Thomas of Orlando, FL, Carol Dechaine of Madawaska, Debbie Marquis and her companion Mike Fortin of Madawaska; one son, Kenneth J. Dechaine of Jaffrey , NH ; one brother, George H. Schneider and his wife Donna of Davenport, FL; eight grandchildren and seven great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her loving husband Willie Dechaine. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10am on Wednesday, December 19, 2012 at the St. Thomas Church . Family and friends may call at Lajoie Funeral Home from 6-8pm on Tuesday and from 8:30am until 9:30am on Wednesday. Interment will be held at the parish cemetery in the spring.
