Eagle Lake---Doris Fournier, 87, passed away peacefully May 13, 2023, at an Eagle Lake health care facility. She was born in Eagle Lake on August 10, 1935, daughter of the late Robert and Clara (Guimond) Dube.

Doris was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who cherished her family dearly. She was a hard worker who dedicated over 20 years to the Bald Eagle and still found time to enjoy her family. Many of her favorite memories were when her grandchildren would visit their lake home either to go swimming in the summer or visit her and Pearly in their ice shack in the winter. She was famous for her large raspberry patch and homemade jam, her pea soup and of course her third-row seat at St Mary's Catholic Church in Eagle Lake. She was known for her contagious smile and courteous manner and will be missed by many.

She is survived by three children, Donna Parent of Fort Kent, Michael Fournier of Eagle Lake, and Beverly Fournier of Eagle Lake; ten grandchildren, Robert Parent, Lisa Burress (Ryan), Heather Fournier, Pearly Fournier, Mark Forino, John Forino (Mindy), Danielle Forino, Steven Polakowski and his companion Chelsea Munson, Brad Plourde (Kristina), Chad Plourde (Callie); nineteen great-grandchildren; one sister, Jenette Talbot and her close friend; Yolanda Lampron of Waterbury, CT and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband of 69 years; Pearly Fournier, two children; Levi Fournier and Doreen Plourde; one grandchild; Katie Plourde, six siblings; Leonard, Norman, and Robert "Hampy" Dube, Laurina Brown, Maxine LaFrance, and Marylene Keogh.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11am on Friday, May 19, 2023, at St. Mary Church in Eagle Lake. Relatives and friends may call at Lajoie-Daigle Funeral Home on Thursday from 6pm-8pm and from 9am-10:30am on Friday before the Mass.
