Fort Kent- Dorothy Doyle, 88, passed away on February 13, 2018 at a local health care facility.  She was born on May 30, 1929 in St. Agatha, the daughter of Maine State Police Lieutenant Edward Doyle and Esther Albert Doyle.  Dorothy grew up in Fort Kent and graduated from Fort Kent High School. She worked at Thibodeau's Insurance Agency for three years, prior to relocating to Florida. For several years she was the Credit Manager and Office Supervisor at Belk Stores in West Palm Beach.  In 2013, Dorothy returned to Fort Kent.  She was a wonderful seamstress, piano player, and enjoyed traveling.  For many years she was instrumental in planning the annual Maine Picnic in Florida.  Dorothy is survived by her sister, Priscilla Espling of Bangor; a niece Patty Gagnon and her husband Dave from Madison, NH; two nephews, Kim Espling and his wife Peggy from Woodland, and Craig Espling from Brewer; several cousins, and her lifelong friend, Lucille Toschi.  She was predeceased by her parents and brother, Edward Doyle, Jr. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1pm on Saturday, February 17 at the St. Louis Church in Fort Kent. In keeping with Dorothy's wishes there will be no calling hours. Dorothy will be buried at the St. Louis Cemetery in the spring.  The family would like to thank the staff at Crosswinds for their wonderful care provided to her.
