Madawaska---Edmay Daigle, 94, passed away on March 18, 2014 at a Madawaska health care facility. She was born in Grand Isle on April 4, 1919, daughter of the late Thaddie and Annie (Bouchard) Lausier. Edmay was a lifetime member of the American Legion Auxillary of Madawaska. She was a communicant of St. Thomas Aquinas Church. She enjoyed gardening, but her favorite pastime was hunting in the Allagash with her family. She is survived one son, Harold Daigle and his wife Gilberte of Madawaska; two grandchildren, Scott Daigle and his fiancé Kim Lancaster of Sanford, Sandra Daigle Gallant and her husband Lionel of Saco; one sister, Laurette Doucette of Madawaska; four brothers, George Lausier and his wife Betty of Lac Baker, Patrick Lausier and his wife Dot, Raymond Lausier and his wife Nancy all of Hartford, CT, James Lausier of Virgina; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Paul Daigle, four sisters and two brothers. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10am on Saturday, March 22, 2014 at St. Thomas Aquinas Church. Family and friends may call at Lajoie Funeral Home from 9am until 9:45am on Saturday before the service. Spring interment will be held in the Parish cemetery.
