Van Buren--- Edna L. Violette, 95, died peacefully Tuesday, May 26, 2015, at a Van Buren healthcare facility. She was born March 7, 1920 in Van Buren, a daughter of the late Jean and Alice (Madore) Laplante. She worked many years as an LPN in the areas of Boston, MA and Van Buren. Edna raised her four loving children with her late husband, Gilbert Violette. She relocated back to her hometown of Van Buren in 1985 following her retirement, to be closer to her family roots. She is survived by: one son, Steve Violette and his friend Carol of Wrentham, MA; three daughters, Patricia Anderson and her husband John of Dedham, MA, twins Dale and Gail Violette of Ipswich, MA; three sisters, Alice Morrow of Van Buren, Jeanne D'Arc Reynolds of Hawaii, and Claire Porter of Arizona; and several grandchildren and great grandchildren Besides her parents and former husband, Edna was predeceased by several siblings. A Mass of Christian Burial was held Monday, June 1, 2015 at St. Bruno-St. Remi Catholic Church, Van Buren. Burial was in St. Bruno Cemetery. www.LajoieFuneralHome.com
