Van Buren--- Edwina M. Muckler, 63, died August 13, 2014 at an Eagle Lake healthcare facility. She was born November 21, 1950 in Grand Isle, a daughter of the late Edmond and Gilberte (Chabre) Thibodeau. She worked many years as a housekeeper with Borderview Nursing Home and several years as a seamstress in Canada. She enjoyed canoe rides, especially up and down the St. John River, and stopping at Hebert's Pharmacy for her morning cup of coffee. She is survived by: three children, George Muckler and his wife Amy O'Neil of Middle Sackville, NS, Canada, Lisa Muckler of Fredericton, NB, Canada, and Lory Muckler and her husband Tony Plourde of St. Jacques, NB, Canada; three brothers, Jim Thibodeau and his wife Claudia, Leroy "Butch" Thibodeau, and Larry Thibodeau, all of Van Buren; one sister, Elaine Demerchant and her husband Tom of St. Leaonard, NB, Canada; seven grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Edwina is predeceased by a granddaughter, Yzadora Bourgoin. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, August 19, 2014 at St. Bruno-St. Remi Catholic Church, Van Buren. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
