Madawaska---Eileen Madore, 87, passed away peacefully on November 3, 2022, at a Fort Kent health care facility.  She was born in Madawaska on July 2, 1935, daughter of the late Aurel and Marie "Lourdes" (Pelletier) Madore.  Eileen was a lifetime communicant of St. Thomas Aquinas Church, serving as Eucharistic Minister, a member of the French Choir, and a volunteer at the church gift shop.  She was a member of the Daughters of Isabella for over fifty years, serving in many positions.  She enjoyed playing cards and cribbage and was an excellent bowler.  She is survived by one brother, Cliff and his wife Bev of Madawaska; one sister-in-law Rinette Madore also of Madawaska; one special friend, Lee St. Onge of Madawaska; many nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by two sisters, Joan Senechal and Claire Pelletier; two brothers, Jimmy and Danny.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10am on Thursday, November 10, 2022, at the St. Thomas Aquinas Church.  In keeping with Eileen's wishes, there will be no visiting hours or receiving line.  Interment will take place immediately following the Mass at the Parish cemetery.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Lajoie Funeral Home.
