Obituary

Frenchville--- Eliette (Roy) Morin, age 86, of Frenchville, Maine, passed away peacefully at St. Joseph Memory Care in Frenchville, on September 3, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. She was born October 17, 1939, in Frenchville, a daughter of Albenie and Edwina (Rioux) Roy. She graduated from Mount Mercy in Lewiston, Maine, and later married the love of her life, Clifford “Bee” Morin.

A devoted member of her community, Eliette served as past president, treasurer, and secretary of American Legion Auxiliary Unit 145, and as past treasurer of the Frenchville ATV Club and Snowmobile Club. She was a faithful member of the Dames de Sainte Anne, and volunteered at La Maison Acadienne, St. Joseph Memory Care, and for funeral luncheons. She enjoyed reading, cooking, traveling, sewing, knitting, and crafts, but above all, her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren were the center of her world. Whenever someone needed her, she didn't hesitate to offer a helping hand, a listening ear, or the comfort of her presence. Eliette’s love of cooking later blossomed into a catering business, which she started with a lifelong friend. It was a wonderful opportunity for her to share her love of food and cooking for others.

She is survived by her children, Sara (Donald) Jackson of Nokomis, FL, Brenda (Brian) Thibeault of Frenchville, Paula (Eric) Bouchard of Fort Kent, and Paul (Shelby) Morin of Caribou; her grandchildren, Matt Ulven (Angie), Sean Jackson, Darci (Robert)Jackson, Marc (Ariel) Jackson, Brad Thibeault, Breanna (Matt) Fongemie, Brent (Julia) Thibeault, Heather (Dustin) Bouchard, Adam (Samantha)Bouchard, Chantal (Eric) Blanchette and Christopher Ferrone; many great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; her brother Raymond (Diane) Roy of North Port, FL; her sister, Susan (Michel Cossette) Roy of Trois Rivere, Quebec; sisters in law, Gisele Morin, Ann Morin, and Irma Morin; brothers in law, John Daigle, Gary Bailey and Gerald Bourgoin; as well as many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband, Clifford “Bee” Morin, her parents, Edwina and Albenie (Rioux) Roy, her sisters, Edmay Roy and Linda Bourgoin, her brother, Ronald Roy, her sisters-in-law, Myrtie Morin, Rena Bailey, Nancy Daigle and Dean Morin, her brothers-in-law, Elie (June) Morin, Leo Morin, Bertrand Morin, Milford Morin, Richard Morin, and Donald Morin.

Eliette will be deeply missed by her family, friends and all those whose lives she touched. Her kindness, generosity, and unconditional love will remain in the hearts of everyone who knew and loved her. Eliette’s family is especially grateful for the wonderful care and compassion she received from St. Joseph Memory Care and Northern Light Hospice Care.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 AM on Wednesday, September 9, 2026, at St. Luce Church, Frenchville. Relatives and friends may greet the family Wednesday morning 10-10:45 AM at the church. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Edgar J. Paradis Fund or St. Joseph Memory Care. Arrangements are a service of Lajoie-Daigle Funeral Home, 14 E. Main St., Fort Kent.
