Saint Francis---Elizabeth M. (Thibodeau) Brann, 82, was granted her angel wings on May 20, 2020.  Her final days were spent surrounded by the caring staff at NMMC, to whom her family will be eternally grateful for their kindness and support.

"Betty Boop," to those that knew her well, was born on March 28, 1938 to Leonard and Pheobe (Jandreau).  She was raised in St. Francis.  She came into this world much as she exited it, a fighter.   Born premature and weighing only 4lbs she defied the odds and thrived, proving that mighty things do come in small packages.

At 19, she married her first love and started what could only be described as her true calling; motherhood. She spent the next 63 years loving her family as though their lives depended on it, and sometimes it did.

Betty is survived by her 7 children: Donna, Barry, Terry, Martha, Lori, Beth and Tim; 6 Grand Children: Carrie, Liz, Brad, Jessica, Kate and Austin; 6 Great-Grand Children: Shelby, Tyler, Tessa, Rebecca, Ethan, Graydon and Gemma,  who she always referred to as her "babies.". Betty is also survived by three Sisters-in-law: Linda Pelletier Thibodeau, Lucille Charette Thibodeau and Nathalie Brann Dubois, as well as many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Donald; her brothers: Melvin, Murray and Sylvio; and Sister-in-law Theresa.
