Madawaska---Elvina M. Pelletier, 97, passed away on January 2, 2014 at a Van Buren health care facility. She was born in St. Agatha on September 15, 1916, daughter of the late Pierre and Melvina (Michaud) Gervais. She is survived by two daughters, Karen Dumais and her husband James, Elaine Brown and her husband John; three sons, Roger Pelletier, Ron Pelletier and his wife Sharon, Rod Pelletier and his wife Debbie; six grandchildren, Jessica, Kraig, Shanna, Ryan, Mishelle, and Nicholas; four great grandchildren, Nathan, Shelbie, Jaxon, and Reece; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Emile Leonard Pelletier who died on October 28, 2004; five brothers, and two sisters. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11am on Tuesday, January 7, 2014 at the St. Thomas Aquinas Church. Family and friends may call at Lajoie Funeral Home from 10am until 10:45am on Tuesday before the service. Interment will be held later in the spring.
