Madawaska---Emely Chasse, 85, passed away on Sunday, December 02, 2012 at a Frenchville health care facility. She was born in St. Basile, New Brunswick on November 1, 1927, daughter of the late Alphee and Susanne (Michaud) LeBlanc. Emely was the loving mother of four children, Donald Chasse and his wife Denise of Madawaska, Carol Beaulieu and her husband Andre of Edmundston, N.B., Danny Chasse and his wife Marie May of Madawaska, Charlene Parker and her husband Steve of Sandford; she had four grandchildren, Jeremie, Emelie, Kayla, Kory; two great grandchildren, Ashton and Nicolas. Being one of 16 children, she has twelve siblings surviving her. She is predeceased by her husband, Leonel M. Chasse who died on July 9, 1973 and by her infant son, Ronald Chasse. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated, 10am on Friday, December 7, 2012 at St. Thomas Aquinas Church. Family and friends may call at Lajoie Funeral Home from 6-8pm on Thursday and from 9am until time of service on Friday. Burial will be held in the spring at the St. Thomas Aquinas Cemetery.
