Fort Kent --- Ernest J. Berube, 74, passed away on September 29, 2018 at a Fort Kent health care facility. He was born on March 29, 1944 son of the late Victor and Fernande (Cyr) Berube. He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Sandra (Walker) Berube; three sons, James Berube of Fort Kent, Paul Berube and his wife Katia of Fort Kent, and Michael Berube and his wife Heather of Fort Kent; four grandchildren, Makayla, Emily, Mitchel, and Xander; seven siblings, Richard, Leonard, Lawrence, Robert, Joyce, Judy, and Sue; along with many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by one sister, Barbara; and one granddaughter Leah. A funeral service will be held with military honors at 10am on Friday October 5, 2018 at Lajoie-Daigle Funeral home in Fort Kent. Family and friends may call from 6-8pm on Thursday October 4, 2018, and from 9-9:45am the morning before the service.
