Ernest Levesque

Van Buren---Ernest Levesque, 77, passed away peacefully following a brief illness on March 1, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of laughter and a spirit of playfulness that will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Ernest was a bright light in his community. Known for his contagious smile and a laugh that could fill a room, he possessed a rare gift for making people happy. Whether he was joking, teasing, or sharing a quick-witted remark, Ernest had an uncanny ability to lift the spirits of everyone he encountered. Ernest found great happiness in the simple pleasures of life. He was a frequent and familiar face at his brother’s auto body shop, where he enjoyed the hum of activity and the camaraderie of those around him. An avid fan of games, he was always ready for a round of cards or a friendly competition. He also found freedom and joy on two wheels, spending many hours riding his bike through the town he loved. Ernest was predeceased by his beloved parents, Joseph and Emerilda Levesque, as well as his siblings, Louise, Ned, and Wayne. He is survived by his devoted siblings and their families, Ralph Levesque, Donna Pinette and her husband Floyd, Roger Levesque, and Noelle Levesque. He also leaves behind many cherished nieces and nephews who will fondly remember their uncle’s jokes and the warmth he brought to every family gathering. The family wishes to extend their deepest, most heartfelt thanks to Sheryl and Steven Parent. More than just caregivers, Sheryl and Steven provided Ernest with a loving home and treated him as one of their own. Their compassionate care and dedication ensured that Ernest’s final years were filled with the same sense of family and belonging that he gave to others throughout his life. Details regarding a celebration of life will be shared by the family at a later date.
