Madawaska--- Ernest N. Pratt, 82, died peacefully Monday, November 20, 2017, at a Madawaska healthcare facility. He was born December 25, 1934 in Fall River, MA, a son of the late William and Laura (Labouliere) Pratt.

Ernest served several years with the US Air Force during the Korean Conflict. He was a long-time member of the American Legion, Post # 147, Madawaska. He worked over 27 years for Fraser Paper, Madawaska, as first-class pipefitter, until his retirement in 1990. He enjoyed listening to music, especially Elvis songs, and rarely turned down a card game with friends or family. He truly enjoyed his 10 years in Florida with his wife.

He is survived by: his wife of 44 years, Jeanne (Cyr) Pratt of Madawaska; a daughter, Gail Pratt of Notre Dame du Lac, PQ, Canada; and several nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, Ernest is predeceased by his son, Ronald Pratt in 1973, a sister, Joan Borden, and a brother, William Pratt.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 AM on Monday, November 27, 2017, at St. Thomas Aquinas Church, Madawaska. Relatives and friends may greet the family Sunday 6-8:00 PM at Lajoie Funeral Home, 114-10th Ave., Madawaska. Spring interment will be in St. Thomas Cemetery, Madawaska.
