Caswell---Ernest Albert St. Pierre was born on January 25, 1954, in Van Buren, Maine, to Regina Baron and Eddie St. Pierre of Caswell, Maine. His life became a testament to resilience, love, and an unbreakable spirit. On September 4, 2026, after courageously battling cancer, he made the decision to say goodbye. Though he is gone, his legacy blazes brightly in the hearts of all who knew him as an ongoing example of perseverance and hope. He loved fiercely and lived boldly—a frequent and beloved visitor with friends and family, always ready to lend a hand, share a joke, and offer guidance through life's challenges. He was a tireless presence at the family farm, eager to help. At home, he took on the toughest projects, pushing himself beyond his limits and teaching those around him that age was just a number. To know Ernest was to know a man of fairness, humor, and dauntless independence. His presence was a gift, and his absence leaves a void—a space filled with memories of genuine kindness, wisdom, and the willingness to help without expecting anything in return. Ernest has not truly left us; he persists through those who love him. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Sharon; his children, Gregory and wife Nikki, Jesse, Melissa and fiancé Timothy; and his four cherished grandchildren—Trinity and fiancé Nate, Hudson, Quinn (Alex), and Tristan. He also leaves behind his sister June and her husband Vincent Fortin, Robert St. Pierre, Paul and wife Helen St. Pierre, sister Susan and her husband Terry Storbeck, and brother Thomas (ommy) St. Pierre. Alongside them are countless nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews whose lives he touched deeply. Though he is no longer with us in body, Ernest’s spirit endures as an eternal reminder of love, resilience, and unwavering strength. His legacy is woven into the hearts of his family and friends, forever inspiring us to live with the same stubborn hope and fierce kindness he carried every day. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, September 12, 2026, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Hamlin, Maine. There will be no visiting hours or receiving line. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the children’s department of Mark and Emily Turner Memorial Library in Presque Isle, Maine.
