Madawaska---Ernestine Fournier, 86, passed away at a Madawaska health care facility on Wednesday, October 6, 2010. She was born in Madawaska on April 8, 1924, the daughter of the late Joseph and Josephine (Dufour) Lagasse. Ernestine was a wonderful, loving wife, mother, and grandmother who will be dearly missed. She is survived by three daughters, Lorraine Pelletier of Bowie, MD, Lucille Michaud and her husband Robert of St. David, and Leona Fournier of Madawaska; two sons, Larry Fournier and his wife Lise, and Lionel Fournier and his wife Theresa all of Madawaska; twenty two grandchildren, several great grandchildren; five sisters, two brothers, and many nieces and nephews. Ernestine was predeceased by her loving husband, Wilfrid Fournier on November 30, 1992; and by two sisters and two brothers. A Memorial service will be held 1pm on Saturday, October 9, at the St. David Church. Arrangements entrusted to Lajoie Funeral Home in Madawaska.
