Obituary

Erney Levesque passed away Saturday, January 23 at Fort Kent health care facility.  He was born in Saint Agatha on March 14, 1932, son of the late Joyime Levesque and Irene (Cyr) Levesque.

Erney had a great sense of humor and loved to make people laugh.   Throughout his life he worked for a variety of farmers but was better known as a logger; he was one of the last ones to do so with draft horses.  He loved his six children, five boys and one girl, and trained the boys to work with him in the woods from an early age.  He loved to hunt and fish on Long Lake, where he had grown up on Cyr Cove.  Erney learned about God's Word, the Bible, and loved to share what he learned with others.

Erney is predeceased by his wife of 59 years, Edith Cyr Levesque; two brothers, Percy Levesque and Richard Levesque; he is survived by three brothers: Vernon Levesque, Willard Levesque, and Raymond Levesque; also surviving him are his six children: Lester Levesque and his wife Pam, Michael Levesque and his wife Carla, Gary Levesque and his wife Robin, Roger Levesque and his wife Tammy, Judy Levesque and Kenneth Levesque.  He also leaves nine grandchildren: Mindy Connors and her husband Sean, Derek Levesque, Leah Levesque, Ethan Levesque and his wife Kari, Logan Levesque, Daniel Levesque, Kyle Sirois, Katarina Levesque and Jared Levesque; also two great-grandchildren, Madelyn Twiss and Jordana Twiss.
