Obituary

Esther Mary Jandreau, 79, passed away peacefully on April 8, 2025, in Saint Francis, Maine and now finds eternal life in the presence of our Lord.

Born on February 3, 1946, in Allagash, Esther was the daughter of Aaron and Myrtle (Morin) Jackson; the 4th of 18 children.

Esther was the beloved wife of Camille Jandreau, celebrating their 60th year of marriage on November 28th, 2024. A devoted and loving mother to her son Larry (Jill) of NH and daughters Camilla (Ivan) Theriault and Jodi (Keith) Charette of Fort Kent and her angel baby whose memory remained close to her heart her throughout her life.

Family was the cornerstone of Esther's world. Known affectionately as "Gram," she cherished every moment spent with her grandchildren—Beth (Kris) Malmborg, Kristie (Curtis) Gagnon, Tylor Theriault, Samantha (Dillon) Kraemer, Emily (Kip) Stanley, Noah Theriault, and Isabel Charette—and found immense joy in watching her family grow through the next generation. Her great-grandchildren—Noah, (Jenna) Caron, Ethan, Preston, and Madilyn Malmborg, Ryleigh and Hailey Gagnon, McKenna, Nova, and Eden Kraemer, Desmond and Rose Stanley - brought light to her later years and were a constant source of pride and happiness.

She leaves behind five brothers: Thomas of CO; Guy (Norma) of Portage Lake; George (Pam) of Bangor, Daniel of China; and Matthew of Allagash; eight sisters: Brenda (John) Bourgoine of Caribou; Susan (Murray) Michaud of Ashland; Anita Reid of China; Valerie (Jim) Small of North Vassalboro; Melissa (Tony) Patenaude of TX; Joyia (Rick) Cyr of Portage Lake; Virginia (Chuck) Graham of WA and Belinda Jackson of Jay.

A gifted cook and baker, Esther found joy in preparing meals that brought people together. Her kitchen was often filled with the comforting aromas of homemade bread or pot roasts—a place where stories were shared and memories made. Whether it was a holiday feast or a simple weekday supper, Esther's food nourished both body and soul.

Esther has been reunited in Heaven with their baby daughter, Beth Anne, who after 53 years is cradled back in her mother's loving arms; her parents, Aaron and Myrtle; and brothers, Larry (infant), Aaron Jr (Joe), Loomis, and Terry.

Her legacy lives on not only through the generations she nurtured but also through the warmth she extended to all who knew her. Esther's life was one of quiet strength, faith and enduring love—a presence that will be deeply missed but fondly remembered.

May her memory bring comfort to those who knew and loved her.
