Van Buren--- Eugene "Blue" Michaud, 73, peacefully passed away on June 5, 2025, at his home, with his family at his side. He was born May 22, 1952, in Van Buren, a son of the late Roland and Theresa (St. Pierre) Michaud.

Blue worked many years with Cyr Construction as a crane and heavy machine operator. He loved to travel all over northern Maine to the many construction sites. He also worked several years for former Blier Cedar Mill, Van Buren, and, a "jack of all trades," did many carpentry jobs. Blue loved riding motorcycle and would spend hours touring the St John Valley on his Harley Davidson, and he was a member of several area motorcycle clubs.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Jacqueline (Fournier) Michaud of Van Buren; two children; Brian Michaud of Madawaska and Jeannie LeBlanc of Van Buren; five grandchildren, Eric, Jacob, Nathan, James, and Natalie; two great grandchildren, Sophie and Brittany; four siblings, Linda Desjardins of St. Leonard, NB, Gerald Michaud of Van Buren, Don Michaud of Grand Falls, NB, and Rena Small of So. Dakota; and several nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, Blue was predeceased by four siblings, Patrick Michaud, Steven Michaud, Rolande Ouellette, and Rachel Loth.
